First and foremost... am I 100% plant based.... NO.... will I ever be? I doubt it, simply because I like my ice cream...cheese...yogurt...and Saturday morning bowl of cereal. So don't event think about it ( I will take the best dairy-free alternatives for those products above).
Here we are...in the midst of week 3 being focused on a plant based diet. I've only slipped up once on accident. I was scarfing down sushi and little man did want his last piece of sushi. He couldn't finish his sentence before I snatched the last piece off his plate and it was in my belly. 10 seconds later in dawned on me. Dammit there was shrimp in that! A piece of shrimp at that. 99% chance it wouldn't alter my diet or change it in any type of way. After dinner I pretty much monitored my stomach and its work of digesting everything. Yeah I was being hella extra. I still paid attention though.
Yesterday being MLK Jr Day, I was off work. So I took it upon myself to cook my HelloFresh meal preps so that I will be ready for the week. So I cooked some bean enchiladas and a fresca chickpea bowl.
So currently I'm in an awkward era of my daily intake. the 1030 time frame. Breakfast is normally gone but lunch is still not close enough. So what do I do? I grab my extra large Jym Pro container, tasting like peanut butter cups, get two quick scoops of the fine, granular powder and shake it up! Shake-shake-shake! 120 second later I've taken down 320 calories, 8g of fat, 48g of protein, and 12 g of carbs.
On top of that hungry me has already had two Gatorade protein bars. 660 calories, 20g of fat, 40g of protein, and 86g of carbs.
So far I'm sitting at 980 calories, 28 g of fat, 88g of protein and 98g of carbs for my daily intake. I'm sure you are wondering is this bad. Well lets see.
Protein Calculator - Based of me being 30 years old, male, 6'2", live a very active life, and have the goals to build muscle growth.... I need to hit 209g... 121g to go! (Protein Consumption Calculator: Click Here)
Caloric Intake - So while the average intake goal is approximately 2000 calories, With the same parameters from the protein calculator.... I need to hit about 3290 calories per day....2310 calories to go. (Caloric Intake Calculator: Click Here)
Carb Intake - Same parameters... yes I'm still 30... so I'll need to hit 370g of carbohydrate intake....272g of carbs to go! (Carbohydrate Calculator: Click Here)
Fat Intake - So I'm supposed to hit 91g of fat per day... I still have a smooth 61g to go! (Fat Intake Calculator: Click Here)
